Mike Bock

Financial Advisor

Ironman-Financial-Mike-Bock-Financial-AdvisorBefore embarking on a career in the financial services industry in 1995, Mike Bock was a small business owner. He operated numerous businesses in the flooring, real estate and rental properties industries, and in the IT sector.

Over 20 years, Mike has expanded his interest and knowledge in financial planning, completing numerous courses focusing on wealth creation and money management, including the Certified Financial Planners program. He has accumulated an abundance of valuable insight and information, and has developed strategic alliances with key people and businesses.

“All of these things combined help me provide superior service to my clients,” Mike says.

“My commitment to my clients is to help them solve their financial challenges. Working with them, I focus on their goals – whether for retirement, saving for their first home, a child’s post-secondary education or developing an estate plan to fit their needs. I also work with small business owners to help them develop and maintain plans to achieve their goals.”

Personal Interests

Mike was an avid triathlete. He competes in races, including the challenging Ironman competition. As a nine-time Ironman Canada finisher and Hawaii World Championships finisher, Mike has devoted a tremendous number of hours to training and preparing for the Ironman distance triathlon.

In addition, Mike was Race director of the Chinook Triathlon Festival, a non-profit organization that provides financial support to many youth charities. For years Chinook Triathlon Festival profits have been allocated to a variety of charity groups, and for the past ten years Mike has generously provided support to Bikes for Kids, whose mission is to help young athletes realize their cycling/triathlon dreams by putting bikes into the hands of those who cannot afford them.

Mike believes strongly in helping youth develop healthy lifestyles by encouraging them to be active throughout their lives. He served three terms on the ATA Youth and Kids of Steel Committee and four years as a member of the organization’s board. He has also been actively involved in Calgary Minor Hockey as a Level II coach for more than 10 years.
