Raising awareness for Canadian Mental Health Association “Ride Don’t Hide”

This is the organization that I will be fund raising for. I won’t be participating in the event because I’m doing the Challenge Triathlon in Germany a few weeks later. What I will be doing is volunteering my expertise in organising the ride course. So I will spend the day making sure all 400 people out on the ride course have a safe and enjoyable time.

My fundraising page is the following link: Ride Don’t Hide Calgary

Ride Don’t Hide is a community bike ride hosted, nationally, by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), with the goal to raise awareness and help break the stigma surrounding mental health while raising essential funds to support mental health programs. CMHA rides will be hosted in six provinces in 35 communities with the aim to engage over 8,000 participants and raise over $1,500,000.

The community event is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for riders of all ages and abilities—from novice rider to the advanced cyclist. 2016 marks the 3rd Annual Ride Don’t Hide event for CMHA – Calgary, the only ride in Alberta. Our goal in 2016 is to have 450 cyclists, raising over $150,000.
